Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about our walnut composite decking? Find quick answers to our most frequently asked questions below.

What is the lifespan of your walnut decking boards?

Walnut composite decking has a lifespan of around 30 to 40 years and requires very little maintenance. This is because of the high-quality materials and protective layers used in its construction, including UV-resistant caps, which contribute to the decking’s long-term colour stability and overall durability. While all composite decking may fade over time, the fading of the walnut colouring is usually minimal.

Does your composite decking boards use recycled materials?

Yes, our walnut boards are made of 90% recycled materials. The composition of the WPC (wood plastic composites) mix is made up of reclaimed wood fibres, and recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Are your composite boards sustainably sourced?

Yes, our composites are sustainably sourced from FSC-certified organisations. It is made from a combination of reclaimed wood and recycled plastics, which makes it an eco-friendly alternative to traditional wood decking. Using recycled materials in the manufacturing process of walnut composites reduces the demand for new raw materials and minimises waste.
